Inter-system Interference and Optimal Utilisation of Resources in 1800 MHz Band 5G Networks

Abstract

This paper explores how 5G technology can be integrated into the 1800 MHz band while coexisting with existing broadband TDD private networks. It focuses on optimizing 5G deployment for cost-effectiveness and coverage, ad-dressing potential interference issues with existing networks. The study evaluates different interference types, their impacts, and proposes solutions to minimize them. It concludes that 5G can coexist successfully with broadband TDD net-works in this band by following international standards and continually adapting to technological changes. The paper emphasizes the importance of this research for the future of 5G and broadband communications, particularly for network operators and equipment manufacturers, suggesting further exploration of coexistence strategies and new methods to enhance network efficiency.
