One of the methods which prevail in the evaluation of networks is the simulation. Its less time consuming and less expensive aspect make its popularity. The NS3 is one of the most powerful and the most popular simulators used nowadays. It allows simulating packetswitched networks. It offers several modules which handle wireless networks including WiMAX. However, no version of the module WiMAX proposed in NS3 deals with the OFDMA.
This report is an evolution of the works realized by Furlong and Guha. It consists of improvements and extensions of features of the processing of the OFDMA achieved in their work. These improvements allow the packet processing at the level of the physical layer and the MAC layer according to the different possibilities of permutation, modulation and transmission direction. They extend the operation to several other physical layer parameters. All this bring more precision and realism adequacy in terms of flexibility. The resulting module was compared to the initial one by simulating an UDP client-server application on a WiMAX network.
