Abstract

Maintenance in industry, as well as in other types of structures such as public services, hospitals, mines is one of the essential elements for their proper functioning. Most of the methods and tools used for maintenance are often outdated or poorly exploited, which can lead to loss of time, a negative financial balance sheet and a deterioration in the quality of services. The audits and visits carried out in the various organizations presented in this thesis have enabled us to observe that they face certain similar problems. By taking an interest in these, we have offered them tools for evaluating their working methods, processes and resources. We have also proposed a few approaches that could help implement a 4.0 maintenance model. The 4.0 maintenance model is an innovative approach that consists of restructuring the organization of equipment maintenance using the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, and the exploitation and enhancement of maintenance data. To respond to the problems encountered, we began by exploring the maintenance practices, the methods and algorithms of existing maintenance data processing. We have proposed preliminary actions to perform before selecting an algorithm for a future 4.0 maintenance model. From a restructuring perspective, we have studied and proposed digital transformation and digital maturity detection tools. Thanks to the various speeds carried out at the Montreal wastewater treatment plant, we were able to develop and propose ideas, tools and methods that could be used in the transition from analog to digital solutions; with the objective of implementing a 4.0 maintenance model. After having studied the operating principle of biomedical maintenance at the Honoré-Mercier hospital, we offered them methods for studying digital maturity and selecting intelligent algorithms compatible with their maintenance models and the equipment to be maintained. We also offered them methods to plan the different stages of setting up a 4.0 maintenance model, to optimize their operations and the availability rate of the devices. To illustrate one of the ways in which maintenance data could be used, as part of our mission at Eldorado Gold Quebec, we presented valued data from truck alarms, to be able to monitor their use by operators. underground. Thanks to this third example, we were also able to observe the difference in digital maturity models that could exist between an organization that would like to move from analogy to a 4.0 maintenance model and another that has started it.
