Optimisation de la planification des cueillettes d'huiles usagées

Abstract

The aim of the study presented in this dissertation is to adapt solving methods for Inventory Routing Problem to a real-life waste oil collection problem in Quebec. This study will eventually optimize the collection process of an important environmental firm. This field of problems is rather solved by heuristics methods than exact ones on large-scale problems such as the firm’s. Indeed, the size of the problem is about ten thousands clients. Yet, one will develop a solving procedure using exacts methods to keep a process close to the one used previously. A historical analysis and forecast will start the study, followed by the development of several models and their automation in order to give good enough solutions.
