To ensure growth and continuity, a company needs to design and market new products or services. Then, it must estimate an attractive offer that stands out and potentially amazing so that the customer decides to acquire its product in preference to a competitor's. In order to make the decision, the customer must perceive the commercial value and the differentiation. This report focuses on two key axes, the notion of value and the creative problem-solving approach. These two axes improve the decision support process for idea selection. The first axis defines the notion of value, referred to as business value, and includes a set of value proposition statements aimed at solving the problem and satisfying the customer's needs. The second axis presents a complete creative problem-solving approach, which is a creative process integrating one of the three creative engineering methodologies: TRIZ, ASIT or C-K Theory. The purpose of this report is to determine the correlation between the two axes by improving the creative engineering methodologies to consider the business value of ideas. Although these methodologies are generally used for technical problem solving, the association with the notion of value will provide an opportunity to discover the idea’s capacity for innovation. In this way, participants in the creative process will become aware of the value of the ideas, and will have additional information with which to evaluate and select the idea offering the greatest potential appeal.
