Organizational performance is a key component to ensuring the prosperity of a nation. In doing so, performance must continuously increase through the implementation of new processes or in the improvement of these. However, many initiatives in this direction tend to fail in the industry. This reality undermines business performance and the quality of life of individuals. In addition, this generates a waste of human, financial and material resources that is profitable for none of the stakeholders.
According to the literature, in the industry, improvement methods such as lean six sigma and lean manufacturing have a success rate of about one out of three. The research identified factors that make a project successful or unsuccessful. Researchers at various locations on the planet have identified common factors and a compilation of these has been done. One of these factors has a major domino effect on other elements, namely the prioritization and selection of projects.
The ARIV method has been developed taking into account these different factors at each of its stages to maximize the probabilities of success. Training, project prioritization and selection, executive engagement, communication, and employee engagement are all factors that are taken into account in a timely manner in the ARIV method.
Through our consulting mandates at ARIV, we have documented case studies and discussed the application of the method. At each step of the method, we measured the probabilities of success based on the success factors listed in the literature. By comparing the results of the project performance indicators with the probabilities of success, we can conclude that the means used to ensure the success of the projects are robust.
